Lake Cabin + Firepit = Good times! 0.3 mile drive from Watauga Lake access (rope swing + fishing + boating), Fish Springs Marina, Mallard Cove, Doe River, minutes from hiking and biking trails, Roan Mountain, ATV/four wheeling, antique shopping in downtown Elizabethton and more! Enjoy our comfy + games! 30 min from Boone and Johnson City! Explore all day and kick back by the fire pit at night. Take the kayaks out free of charge or stay in with board games, Roku TV, wifi, or a few books :).The space**** USE KAYAKS AT YOUR OWN RISK.**** Complimentary welcome snacks! There is WIFI. Cell service is extremely spotty. Please enable WIFI calling prior to going up the mountain to decrease connectivity issues. There is a landline that can be used for incoming and outgoing calls. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are open concept. The living space adjoins to the main bedroom. A hallway leads from the main bedroom to the bathroom (tub+shower combo) and then to a cozy full-sized bed nook (bedroom 2). Head out the back door and up the steps to The Hilltop Nest, an insulated & climate-controlled space complete with bunk beds and a Roku TV. Dishes, cookware, linens, and towels provided. Body wash + shampoo + conditioner available. Additional hygiene items may be in supply. - Washing machine (no dryer, but drying racks are provided).- Microwave, refrigerator, oven, stove. Do NOT use wood-burning stove!- Window units for air conditioning and heat *The yard features wild blueberries, honeysuckle, and kudzu (medicinal use), and herbs when in season. Enjoy! *Located on a paved mountain two-lane highway so you will hear some traffic, but you'll also hear the songs of local birds and wildlife. No 4-wheel drive necessary no matter what season. *This is a rural mountain log cabin. You may cross paths with the occasional lady bug or stink bug. We do routine pest control, but unfortunately we have to share the mountain with pesky creatures at times. *Hens occasionally use planters or bushes on the property for nesting. Please don’t disturb our friends. With that said, the Roosters do like to crow a bit in the mornings :). *A neighboring little dog might run over to say hi. Very friendly! *Not child-proofed at all. *Must climb steps to enter the cabin. Mountain terrain. *If you lose a kayak, paddle, or life vest, you must reimburse for a replacement. *The lake is gorgeous and the closest access is only 0.3 miles away, but you must drive to get there. We do have kayak straps on the porch for transport.
